The Better Medicare Alliance Names Former Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz as President & CEO

My name is Allyson

This week, the Better Medicare Alliance announced that former Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz will become the President and CEO of the Better Medicare Alliance.  She is a well-respected health care expert with deep knowledge of the Medicare program, the needs of beneficiaries, and the benefits that the Medicare Advantage program brings.

Congresswoman Schwartz represented northeast Philadelphia and suburban Montgomery County for five terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.  During her tenure, she became known for her work in health care, especially protecting seniors.  She served on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, was a senior member of the Budget Committee and chaired the New House Democrat Taskforce on Health.

As the Better Medicare Alliance continues to demonstrate the proven value of Medicare Advantage, promote its successes in improving quality of care and reducing costs, as well as building allies across the spectrum of patients, Congresswoman Schwartz is the right leader. I am honored to pass the baton to her, and look forward to continuing to work to advance Medicare Advantage as a vital health care coverage option for our nation’s seniors.
