Better Medicare Alliance Statement on Hispanic Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. (October 15, 2015) – Better Medicare Alliance (BMA) President and CEO Allyson Schwartz, released the following statement in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month:

“In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Better Medicare Alliance acknowledges and honors the many contributions of the Hispanic community in the United States. Art, culture, food, and the strong sense of family and community of Hispanic heritage all contribute to who we are as Americans.

As a coalition that represents stakeholders who as providers and beneficiaries of Medicare Advantage support the value offered by this option in Medicare, we are proud of the Hispanic organizations that are Ally organizations in our mission, including the National Hispanic Medical Association, and The Latino Coalition. The flexibility of Medicare Advantage offers the Hispanic community better quality care, better management of chronic conditions, additional benefits and more affordability.

We extend our best wishes to the many Hispanic beneficiaries who have chosen Medicare Advantage and are receiving the benefits of affordable, quality care, as well enhanced benefits and care coordination offered by MA plans across the country.”
