ALLYSON Y. SCHWARTZ, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF BETTER MEDICARE ALLIANCE TO SPEAK AT POPULATION HEALTH ALLIANCE SUMMIT AND CAPITAL CAUCUS

Washington, DC (August 29, 2019) – Former Congresswoman Allyson Y. Schwartz, President and CEO of Better Medicare Alliance (BMA), the leading advocacy coalition for Medicare Advantage, will be Keynote Speaker at the Population Health Alliance Summit and Capital Caucus.

Schwartz is scheduled to speak on October 29 at 9:30 am at 1 Constitution Ave NE in Washington, DC. At the event, Schwartz will talk about Medicare Advantage becoming the model for addressing social determinants of health in today’s senior population.

Medicare Advantage’s capacity to provide innovative care delivery by giving plans and providers new flexibility to address social determinants of health for people with chronic conditions is a game-changer in health care delivery in this country.

Better Medicare Alliance’s 136 ally organizations and 400,000 beneficiary advocates offer policymakers the evidence and experience of the simplicity, affordability, care coordination and access to benefits in Medicare Advantage that are improving people’s health and quality of life. The opportunities now available in Medicare Advantage to address social determinants of health for millions of Medicare beneficiaries who have chronic conditions offer the chance to address needs too often unmet that can now be a part of the integrated coverage and care delivery in Medicare Advantage.

“I’m excited to join the Population Health Alliance to talk about Medicare Advantage plans, providers and community partners who are leading the way by addressing social determinants of health and functional limitations that impact so many seniors and are critically important to improving outcomes and quality of life for Medicare beneficiaries.” said Schwartz.
