What is Medicare
Advantage?

Medicare Advantage health coverage is provided through a private plan rather than the federal government. Unlike Traditional Medicare, for which an individual pays a separate monthly premium for hospital visits, doctors/outpatient, and prescription drugs, Medicare Advantage covers all in one monthly premium, often at a lower cost to the enrollee.
Specifically, individuals with certain chronic conditions enrolled in Medicare Advantage experience better health outcomes at similar or lower costs compared to those enrolled in Traditional Medicare.
